Image Capture on Location 101

* This course is designed to help the student capture a sense of place and create more visual excitement in their photographs. At a mutually agreed upon date and location, I will meet with students and make individual suggestions to help in the creation of a meaningful photographic representation. Light, camera placement, composition, focal length, exposure, aperture and shutter speed selection will be among the subjects covered.

* Prerequisites: The student should have a camera equipped with manual controls. The camera may be digital or analog, but the student must have a thorough understanding of their personal cameras' functions. A tripod is suggested.

* Limited to 3 students per day.

* Course cost $75.00 /day.

Photoshop for the Photographer 101

* A digital photographic file is often just the very beginning of a rewarding photographic presentation. I will work with individual students at my studio computer explaining Photoshop Full Edition or Photoshop Elements as a tool for editing photographic files. Crop, burn, dodge, color correction, sharpeningand cloning are just a few of the possible tools that may be used The end result will be a photographic print that expresses the best creative possibilities inherent in the original file.
I have been a digital photographer for the past seven years and have been using Photoshop since version 2 (the current version of Photoshop is called CS4, which would be equivalent to version 11).

* Limited to one student at a time. Photographic files you wish to work with must be jpeg, tiff or PS format.

* $25.00 /hr. plus material costs.
